Sheltered housing is another way to describe our independent living offer: it is specifically designed to help people who are finding it difficult to live completely independently or are planning for the future to enjoy prolonged independence in a safe and supportive setting.

All our properties are equipped with fire protection alarms and are linked to a 24 hour call system, allowing residents to gain assistance at any time of the day or night in the event of an emergency – such as if they have taken ill, had a fall or are in need or urgent assistance.

The Trust does not provide care services, however our Scheme Manager can help you access a package of support that meets your needs and access any benefits you may be eligible for to cover the cost.

The trust has an estate of 48 bungalows and apartments at Mayes Garden, Ancoats, Manchester, and also manages 21 properties in Bolton, Sale and Denton. Find out more about our property locations.

Our residents pay a weekly maintenance contribution which pays towards the cost of managing and maintaining accommodation. Fees are means-tested, and depending on your financial circumstances, you can claim housing benefit to help you meet your housing costs. Our staff can help you to do this and give you advice for your claim get in touch for more information.

The maintenance of your accommodation and the communal gardens are managed by the Trust. Our residents pay a weekly maintenance contribution which pays toward the cost of managing and maintaining accommodation.

Applicants need to be aged 60 years and above and be a resident in the area they are applying for. Applications will be assessed by our team and, if successful, you will join our waiting list.

How you furnish your home is up to you, so you’re free to put your own stamp on it.

Friends and family are welcome to visit or stay with you whenever you want – it’s your home after all.
